The Pay? Quite good: €60/hr ($75US/hr).
How many IT jobs pay that well AND have "Chubbiness" as a job qualification?

And I haven't seen any "store Santas". Maybe they'll set up a giant Caga Tío ("shit log") next to the Barcelona cathedral as in previous years. Instead of sitting on Santa's lap, children beat the Caga Tío with a stick in order to get some candy.
Chuck, ho ho ho

Date: 2008-11-29 06:57 am (UTC)A few years back we were in Amsterdam on St Nikolaas Dag and saw Sinterklaas leading his horse up de NZ Vorburgwaal. My husband thought telling kids that Peit would kidnap naughty kids and take them to Spain was cruel. He didn't know the American threats to kids of a lump of coal or switches and ashes either. *G*
