It already looks different. Te park is getting a make over to bring it up to Disney standards. The lagoon will remain but is being fitted for a Bellagio like fountain system and the center decoration is changing. Other changes are details that probably won't show up in this picture. A much more lush park.

The weird part is, they're also going to be putting a sunburst into the big Mickey profile on the California Screamin' coaster. ???

I do not do most rides. If they are closed in (like the roller coasters/trains that run through mini mountains or the Tower of Terror) or don't move around too much, I'm okay. Kent and I got on that sun wheel for the first time, and I did not realize ALL of the cars slid in and out. I thought that the one we got on stayed in the same place. I was sitting with my back to the outside. We got up to a certain point and the car started sliding backwards. I just about died! Kent still laughs about it.

Once I knew what to expect, it was okay. We rode it again, but that was enough for me.

Los Angeles... Disneyland... American Adventures. I been there... my favorite part of that whole section of the park was the Brother Bear playground.

Actually, the big Mickey Head on Screamin' is going to be completely removed.

Also, all the gandolas will have large vintage Disney character faces on them. The whole Paradise Pier area is going to a Victorian theme. The Orange Stinger to the right, will get the orange stripped off, and the swing ride inside will become much more Victorian, and themed to an old Mickey short called "The Band Concert". The lagoon show, called "World Of Color" will essentially be a combo of the Bellagio fountains and Fantasmic! DCA is pretty much "going under the knife", with major changes affecting all areas of the park, and all should be finished by 2012.
