I do have a couple of associates who've had sites named in their honor- one, a neighborhood health clinic, named in honor of a Catholic Worker saint who was a public health nurse (she's gone but it was built before she died). The other, a Los Angeles street renamed in honor of the regional AFL-CIO head who founded the homeless housing organization that I worked for on LA's Skid Row. I am proud of both.

I don't think I'd ever want a building or street named after me; however, I've always thought it would be nice to have a small plaque placed over a urinal or on the door of a bathroom stall.
