Acne drug prevents HIV breakout
"Johns Hopkins scientists have found that a safe and inexpensive antibiotic in use since the 1970s for treating acne effectively targets infected immune cells in which HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, lies dormant and prevents them from reactivating and replicating.

Sounds like a decent stop gap measure.

I still think our Government would suppress discovery
of any cure, as major illness is good business for pharmacuetical
companies and Doctors.

As always, exploring the *elements* of various meds that seem to have promising results is what's going to lead to a full-frontal "cure" that hits the virus (and the other co-factors) where it lives! ;o)
