All Hell Has Broken Loose on the News Channels

President calling a press conference, reports are Osama Bin Laden has been killed, body in US hands.

Yes, it's amazing! Reports are he was killed in a mansion in Islamabad.

I wonder who else died with him.

Can't wait for the associated conspiracy theory.

LoL, I remember how SNL's Chevy Chase did that "Generalissimo Fransisco Franco is still dead, and I'll keep you up to date if his condition changes!" bit back in 1976.

I hope they do that for Bin Laden on SNL, as well!

Oh, yeah. With SNL originating in NYC I can sure see that happening @@

FUCKING NOT

I thought I would feel something, but I don't.

I'd like to give thanks to Presidents Bush and Obama, Prime Ministers Blair and Cameron, the armed forces of the United States and Her Majesty the Queen, and the intelligence communities of both nations.

"Mission Accomplished" may have been eight years premature, but there's no arguing (in my mind) that the former President saw a lot of the groundwork laid for this triumph — and the current President, far from being a weak-on-terror quisling (as his detractors often claimed), was bloodthirsty enough to see it through.

High-fives all around. I hereby issue to everyone here one token for a virtual cigar and a virtual tumbler of 25-year-old Scotch, said token redeemable for the real thing upon an in-person request.

Except David Cameron did nothing. Gordon Brown had more of an influence than Cameron ever did.

I'm not the sort to ever give thanks for the death of another human. No matter how deplorable their actions, I will not celebrate their death.

Except Thatcher, but that's part of being Scottish.
