Dear Supporter,

You remember San Francisco in 2004. More than 4,000 same-sex couples married — for the first time in the nation. The love, the joy and celebration. It was unforgettable.

So was the disappointment, months later, when each of those marriage certificates was invalidated. But it gave our community — it gave California — a united goal.

And now, it all comes down to this.

In just five days, the California Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the marriage case that was launched in March of 2004 in San Francisco. Equality California is a plaintiff in the case, fighting on behalf of the thousands of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Californians who do not have the freedom to marry the one they love.

Next Tuesday, March 4, at 9 a.m. the seven Supreme Court justices will hear our case. A case for fairness, equality and love. A case for family and for freedom.

This will be one of the most historic moments in our fight to achieve equal civil rights for LGBT people. This case could forever alter the way people view marriage for same-sex couples in California — and in the entire country.

Without doubt, it will be another moment you’ll want to remember.

Warmly,

Geoff Kors

Wow. I'd love to be able to watch the webcast, but my boss sits literally right over my shoulder. :-{{{{

On another topic, have you seen this article about Obama? Or maybe this one about Clinton?

The MSNBC piece about Obama is no surprise. Many Republicans in Texas want to runoff the Fundagelicals who've steeple-jacked the party.

The WSJ piece is, well... The WSJ.
