Welcome to Tornado Season. Hello from Southwest Tornado Alley.

This extends across most of Missourri to near St. Louis. The area west of Fort Worth had several late afternoon tornadoes.

For scale: the distance between Fort Worth and Midland is about 300 miles; Fort Worth to Oklahoma City, 200 miles.

Interesting that the whole storm mass LOOKS like a tornado.

I totally noticed that too and was going to comment on it but you can't beat me.

At any rate, it can't be a good sign lol.

It's cut off in this image, but the part of the storm over MO looked like the top of this big ol' funnel cloud.

While I've always wanted to have a home in Tulsa, OK, where my family is based out of, it's tornado season that would have me in fits. I'd have to have a specially constructed house to protect me.

Just some perspective here...that system? It's bringing us anywhere from 3 to 12 inches (or more) of snow in the next 24 hours, depending on where it track; add in some heavy-duty winds and you have blizzard!

The best part? By Monday it will be melting again.

So tornadoes or blizzard? Hmmm...I'll take the blizzard, thank you.

Now keep your head covered!

South Florida may be having a "special" this summer on Hurricanes.

No snow here, just frequent tornadic activity punctuated with golf ball-sized hail.

My comment at dinner as the TV channels were nonstop weather, "Hell it's April in N Texas. What the hell else you expect?"

It'll be gone by the end of the month, always is.

I remember way too many nights of no sleep when it was like this.

Just as I was crawling in bed, the thunder and rain had passed Fort Worth and arrived.

Sunny and 76°F now.
