Q: When is nine inches for an hour a problem?

A: When it is a rain rate. Send Ark plans.

9 inches in an hour? Yeah better have a boat ready... and I'll just leave the other implications of your question alone heheheh

That's the rate some areas had earlier tonight, 9"/hr. Luckily the storm was moving at a fast enough clip that that only lasted 20 minutes.

Let's just say I know my audience and how to hook them to click the cut link.

As for the "other implications", that's never been a problem, though I prefer more toward 'average' 'cause that's "Just Right" for this Bear.

The ground is still wet from March and earlier this month plus the local lakes are full. Wheeeee!

Usually it dries out by the first or 2nd weekend in May. Fingers crossed. I'm getting tired of all the tornado activity and golf ball and tennis ball hail that's accompanying these storms.

I lived in South Florida. Nine inches in an hour is no problem. Sixteen inches can bring about some flooding, though.

When is nine inches for an hour a problem?

You must have missed the "Please Don't Tease The Size Queens" sign...

Grrrr!

Good lord!

That's impressive even by Louisiana standards.

9"?????????????

I agree, average is MUCH better.

Oh wait, back to the weather. That is a LOT of rain that's for sure. In whimpy California north bay area, we get a 2 to 3 inches an hour and we start squacking.

When you've got your copy of Fixed stuck on "Screaming Slave". On repeat. 7 times.

Oh, ok, entirely different.

Okay that totally had me on the wrong track until I realized you were talking about the weather LOL.
