That's hot! I think that's an instrument we used to use in neurology to test pin-prick perception. Once HIV and hepatitis became more prevalent many docs stopped using this for fear of the remote chance it could spread infection if it accidentally broke the skin.

It's great work. I'm too self-critical to do portraiture; good at candids and sports photography though.
