The piece's name is Attesa. It's on Sarah Brightman's Symphony disc. The music is the Intermezzo Sinfonica from Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni.

Couldn't find the liner notes online - that's usually where the translation is found. No Google isn't a bad translator, neither is Babelfish (Yahoo bought ALtavista?), but they have trouble handling idiomatic phrases.

musikub did a great job, and popebuck1 was spot on, but you're right, idiomatic and poetic uses don't translate well using online translators. But they did a great job giving me enough hints to dredge up my very very stale Italian.
