Looks like Ike is headed to Aransas Pass and Corpus Christi. Still forecast as a Category 3 Hurricane - a lot can change between now and Saturday night.

If the path keeps drifting to the south, S. Padre Island, Harlingen, Brownsville & McAllen on the US side and Matamoros and Reynosa on the Mexican side of the border will be in the path.

Let's see... Crawford would be at 31°32′4″N 97°26′38″W.

Well, at least Bush won't have to go far to survey the damage.
  • About 250 miles to Galveston
  • About 450 miles to Brownsville

By the way, you did a nice job of that. The chart is staying current.

That's the way the jpeg is done at the NHC, that way they don't have to continually update the page with a new image name. The Weather Underground page does the same thing.

Tornadoes, Please GOD?

Level the Preznit's Place in Crawford. Then all of the Gulf coast can cry for him like he cried for Trent Lott after Katrina.

Seriously though, north of there, real tornado activity could be pretty likely, especially since that looks like Wichita Falls and Lawton on up to OKC.
