Facebook's frightening new terms of service: "Now, anything you upload to Facebook can be used by Facebook in any way they deem fit, forever, no matter what you do later. Want to close your account? Good for you, but Facebook still has the right to do whatever it wants with your old content. They can even sublicense it if they want."

It's caused enough of a stir, that Facebook has actually posted a couple of rebuttals/clarifications.  It's an interesting read. The backlash was big enough that the story made the New York Times.

There's a few I wouldn't mind hearing from - but the fact that it seems nearly impossible to learn anything about how the stupid thing works without creating an account is a HUGE turnoff to me.

Thinking things over carefully, I think I'll pass on the idea of volunteering my labor to the betterment of a for-profit organization.
