Back before "Bear(tm)", I was involved with TGRA. I had injured myself enough when younger that I didn't compete, but I did the up-in-the-stands paperwork, so I always had the all access passes like all the other officials.t
About the time of my fifth or sixth rodeo, (2nd Dallas) I had tired of "OHHHHH! What's your buckle for?" (Hint: It was an initial, 'J') So, looking as sincere as I could crossing from JR's toward the Round-Up, I replied sort of softly, "BareButtRidin'" Poor thang never caught on, but the two friends I was with doubled over in laughter as soon as the guy was out of earshot.
