I will admit I am a fan of both....well okay ANTZ was not that great but Kung Fu Panda?!?!? Hey it was awesome!!! Pixar makes genius films there's not denying that at all...but they both have different styles.

How worryingly true.

However, not all Dreamworks films have been bad. Kung Fu Panda was great, the first 2 Shreks weren't bad, and I quite enjoyed Over The Hedge.

But Pixar is in a league of it's own, really.

You are correct but to be honest, I think when you mix in the magic of Disney, there's enough of us old timers around that we lean towards something we know to be relatively easy to associate with.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Shrek and Kung Fu Panda, but Dreamworks just doesn't do it for me. They try too hard.

the only thing i liked of any of these movies is the quote:

"that's a nice boulder".

The Dreamworks stuff is undeniably less accomplished, but some of it is still fun. We just watched the two Madagascar films and had a great time, especially with #2. The penguins rocked.
