I got a little blearly last night when I heard the news...and the this morning saw Henry Gibson passed. I am really feeling old this week.

BTW, the link on the front page still is of the Turtles. I love me some Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman. Wonder if they got married in that moment when they could. (Or if I have misread them, is Mark Volman the father of the chub from Superbad?)

I didn't immediately grasp the significance, and then it dawned on me and I did a quick Google search.

What truly sad news. As the song says, while dragons live forever...

All I can say is what you already did.

And that I count myself lucky to have shared the magic of Peter, Paul and Mary in live performance, and that I am glad their musical legacy will live on and on in their recordings.

Rest in peace, Mary. And be sure that those left in this world will keep swinging that hammer and ringing that bell and remembering how beautifully you sang those songs.
