Meh. As much as I love Steven Moffat's scripts in the RTD episodes, I am staggeringly underwhelmed by every other decision he's made. The costume, the new TARDIS exterior, the changing of the interior, the new sonic screwdriver, the new logo. None of it is filling me with much hope.

Although--he said hopefully--I hate it less than I do the casting of Matt Smith. Why couldn't they go black and never go back?: Chiwetel Ejiofor or Paterson Joseph or Colin Salmon. They are all great and would have rocked the sci-fi world as the 11th. Instead they went with that elfin creature. We are not impressed.

Once fact I've come to accept in all my years watching the doctor, is that everything changes. It is my hope that moffat doesn't screw up the series. But I can live with this new logo. Now how will smith plays the doctor is really what define this new season.

I'm not terribly thrilled. But then ago, I also initially thought that David Tennant was a huge mistake - until I actually saw him in a few episodes, and then absolutely fell in love with his version of the Doctor. So I'm waiting to see how well this new one does.
