They technically have. There's two different groups: Rifftrax and Cinematic Titanic. Rifftrax has Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy(Tom Servoe/writer/director) and Bill Corbett(writer and Crow 2.0). Cinematic Titanic has Joel Hodgson, Trace Beaulieu(Crow 1.0, Dr. Forester), J. Elvis Weinstein(Dr. Erdhardt, Tom servo in cable access days), Frank Coniff(TV's Frank), and Mary Jo Pehl(Pearl Forester[also has appeared on rifftrax]). Rifftrax has a track you can download to play along with Twilight here.
Tibor & I watched it when I was at his place last and -- honestly -- some of the lines were so great that we had to rewind because we were laughing too much to listen to what came next... ;o)
And -- not to take bread from these guys' mouths or nuffink, but... I've heard rumours that you can get some of their stuff already synced with the movies the reference on the internets... ;o)
If I could ever get them to sync right on my laptop (and *stay* synced) I'd probably get a subscription cuz this is some FUNNY shite! :o)
Is there a petition I can sign? I used to LOVE watching MST3K Sunday mornings on Comedy Central. I would prefer Joel Hodgson to Mike Nelson, but either way this show needs to come back. There is so much crap to skewer!
I have all the mike episodes on dvd and about 20 Joels (we met Mike and Kevin out here in Vegas. I think Kevin wanted a blow job). MST3K makes up most of our weekend daytime viewing.
What a great idea! I was dragged to the last movie by my 29 year old date last year, and gawd, what a pile of poo! Funniest part was when a bunch of teen girls behind us applauded when Taylor Lautner took his shirt off for the first time..
