By all appearances, a relaxing weekend...

It was after I finished all the food prep. I took two salads, one for Dave's contribution, one for mine: a variation of [livejournal.com profile] reslbear's Orzo Summer Salad and the Acini di Pepe Fruit Salad I posted last September. Dave made his Chocolate Espresso Cheesecake with Ganache. I decided it needed garnished with fresh strawberries.

After dark, the trunks came off.

With 360 and 161, it's easier for us to get from S Arlington to Carrollton and Lewisville than it is to get to Oak Lawn.

Well, now I'm extra sorry I couldn't make it; chocolate espresso cheesecake sounds like the answer to me.

You and Dave were both missed by me.

You know, Josh could come and sit by the pool, eat and not have to get near the water.

I tried, i really did. But then just when I thought I had him, a brake line gave out. Maybe next time though.

Very good. They're also the closest we get to cooking for company. Bringing home an empty container is a nice compliment.

Somewhat of a PITA that two groups we hang with have a date collision for June pool parties.

You could always split the difference, one is afternoon and one is evening.

That's what I told BooBoo. Hit the Arlington one from 2:00 until 4:30 then head to M&B's.

I REALLY wanted to stay longer. Thank you two again.

UMMN well what a handsome bunch of bears! Course it would only be better if the others didn't have shirts on....

As one of those Others, I'll say...

Well, yeah. But some of us were raised to put a shirt on for dinner, no matter where we are.

Then there's this thing about dropping hair in the food bowls...

Really? Growing up we never ate with our feet in any water...

And I suppose you are right about the hair in the bowls thing....

Never knew Cecil lived so close until he passed away. Greg Britt mentioned his living in Arlington, but could never remember which exit off of I-20 :-(
