Went with Dave to the transplant clinic last Wednesday to get things started for getting relisted for a second transplant. (editorial remark: what a !clue bunch! It seemed only the two physicains had a clue that the kidney transplanted in February had been removed in May. It didn't help that it was coming from the PA with the most attitude.)
Last Friday, it was presented to teh Transplant Committee for their pro forma review and bounced because all the poking and prodding results were over a year old, by about one week. So...
Yesterday, Dave went back over for a morning of poking and prodding. Yesterday also marked the first day that it would be OK for him to be a hospital patient again, according to Medicare's rules.
Another Transplant Committee meeting tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned. The roller coaster is about to ride again.

Date: 2010-07-22 04:30 pm (UTC)As much as I have bitched about the slow motion torture to find another place to live over the past five months, I know it is minor in comparison to what you two are going through. Now that you have been through it once you might have a better go at it knowing where most of the pot holes are in the process. Good luck to you both.
