I've maintained that unless the complainant has already fucked up, their kid will be cool with two men getting married. Because - by default - it's simply *right* that 2 adult-persons-under-law should be able to get married.
Until the adults mess them up, kids really don't give a flip.
There was a youtube video (which I think was taken down by the poster when it started getting a lot of hits) of a guy talking with a young kid at a party. When he explained that the other man was his husband, the kid said, "I've heard of husband and wife but not husband and husband. Cool. I'm going to play ping pong. You can play too if you want!"
Yeah, it's as silly an argument as, "How am I supposed to explain to my kid that only men and women can get married, but not men and men or women and women?" Or even, "How am I supposed to explain to my kid that the sun is actually a star and it's powered by nuclear fusion?" Oh, wait, half of America doesn't even know that the sun is a star. Right. Carry on.
But yeah, kids don't care. It's adults that care. Whatever a kid grows up with is normal to them.
I have enjoyed Louis C.K. ever since he was on Conan back during the Lewinsky nonsense, and he described his fantasy vision of Hillary grabbing Monica's head and forcing it up and down screaming "That's your president! You service him!" or something like that.
