I heard that Mitt had Britney all lined up,...

...but things kinda went south on that celebrity endorsement.

From DailyKos and the "You Can't Make This Stuff Up Dept":

McCain: I'm a bazillion years old.

McCain's answer to Chuck

According to Wilford Brimley, voting for John McCain is the right thing to do.

"Wilford Brimley is our response to Chuck Norris," McCain said on his campaign bus. "He's huge in every way."

And The Onion staff just gives up and jumps out the friggin' window.

Jesus! Who's advising this guy? Answering Chuck Norris with Wilford Brimley?

John McCain is the real deal. Defeating Global Islamist Terror trumps running a Staples or bring the Games to town - McCain Brings Game to America's Threats.

"He's huge in every way."

This, of course, led me to wonder when McCain managed to catch a glimpse of Brimley's privates.

"So tell us Wilford, where do you get yer diabetes testin' supplies?"

01 Wilford Brimley.
"Funny story, he has diabetes."

02 It looks like they brought in special guest Wilford Brimley for bingo night at Shady Pines. Jeebus, who are these walking corpses? It looks like George Romero's Campaign Of The Living Dead.

03 Chuck Norris, Wilford Brimley, Fred Thompson, and friggin Ronald Reagan. Why is it that the Hollywood elite think they know everything about everything and can tell us how to live our lives and govern our country?

"Vote John McCain. It's the right thing t'do!"

Somehow I don't think it's a good idea to take presidential voting advice from the same man who helps me choose my breakfast food...

What's really amazing is that Brimley was only 52 when he played the part of Grampa Gus on Our House (and only 13 years older than Deirdre Hall). I always thought he was in his 70s back then!
